Wrapping Up

Thanks to all who attended and thanks to the band for an absolutely top-notch concert! Grant was very happy to hear his early composition dusted off and played again. He said that for a few minutes, he was 20 years old again.
When it comes time to reconvene in the fall, Donna will be sending out an email, and information will also be posted here and on the band’s Facebook page. If your email changes, or if your plans change for the fall, please use the contact page to let us know. See you in the fall!
A reminder for those involved, we will be playing the Memorial Day Observance. Please arrive no later than 9:30am, earlier if you are able to help set up. The observance begins at 10:30am. We will perform the first movement of American Sketches, Sousa’s Marquette March, and Travis Weller’s American Visions (and the Star-Spangled Banner). If you can’t make the rehearsal, email Donna or use the contact page to send her a message to get the music in advance.
Tosa Jazz has a rehearsal on Tuesday May 24th prior to summer break starting. Rehearsal begins at about 7:30pm after the Memorial Day band rehearsal.

The Wauwatosa Community Band, sponsored by the Wauwatosa Recreation Department, invites you to our spring concert at Longfellow Middle School Auditorium (finding us). Selections for this concert include:

It’s All About That Band – 2

Our final concert this season is Tuesday, May 19th at Longfellow Middle School Auditorium. See our about page for directions. We are concluding our two part series on pieces written specifically for band. Tickets are $5 for Adults, $3 for Students and Seniors. Free refreshments will be available in the lobby after the performance.
