Happy Labor Day – Band Starts

A friendly reminder that rehearsals start Tuesday September 4 at 7:00pm in the Longfellow Middle School band room. During the school year rehearsals are generally on Tuesday evenings at the same time. See the calendar for specific cancellations or changes due to parent teacher conferences or other conflicts. The current schedule is posted.
If you are interested in joining, now is the best time because we start with easier music for the children’s Halloween concert and Christmas concert. All skill levels are welcome to join! Contact us if you’re interested!

Patriotic Favorites

You are invited to Tosaband’s 4th performance this season which highlighs great American works, Nelhybel’s Trittico, Gould’s American Salute, and Copland’s Lincoln Portrait with narration by the beloved Gladys Chmiel. The saxes are also performing the Barnum and Bailey March written by Karl King.
Scratch that crazy itch and get yourself some Wauwatosa Community Band Spirit… (otherwise you’ll have to wait until Fall for another performance by the best band in the land). Come for music. Come for fun. Come for cookies! Yes, there will be a reception following the concert in the lobby.
Admission is the usual, $5 for Adults and $3 for Kids and Seniors. We will be performing in the Longfellow Middle School Auditorium. For directions or additional information, see our About page.

March Concert Tuesday 13th

Mark your calendars, March 13th is next week Tuesday!
The 75-piece Wauwatosa Community Band, directed by Donna Kummer, will play ball! And Bach! And some Scottish things…? Announcer Gladys Rhodes Chmiel will perform “Casey at the Bat” with the band. Only $5 ($3 for students & seniors). Treats following concert.
